SafeSpace Global Corporation (OTC: SSGC) is hiring a full-time Head of Technical Product Management to own the product vision and roadmap across our verticals, with a primary focus on Senior Living and Schools. You’ll be the most senior product voice on the hardware-to-cloud stack, setting direction on edge compute, network architecture, AI model orchestration, and vertical go-to-market strategy.
Reports to:
Shaun Kancherla, VP, AI & Technical Delivery.
Position Overview:
You will own build-vs-buy decisions on hardware and silicon, define how our AI models are prioritized and orchestrated across camera zones, and translate customer needs across regulated verticals into a sequenced, buildable roadmap. This is initially an IC role with a clear path to build and lead a small TPM team within 12–18 months. This means you’ll be doing the work before you’re managing it: writing PRDs yourself, sitting in customer deployments, and making consequential product calls with incomplete information under real time pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-vertical product roadmap. Define and maintain 12- and 24- month roadmaps across healthcare and school verticals. Write Epics and PRDs. Sequence MVPs and own trade-offs across verticals.
- Hardware and edge compute strategy. Own product-tier sizing, COGS optimization, and cameras-per-box economics. Lead silicon and camera vendor evaluations, build-vs-buy analysis, and sandbox validation programs.
- Network architecture decisions. Set product requirements for camera network topology, video ingestion protocols, sensor integration, on-prem vs. cloud deployment models, and edge-to-cloud connectivity. Own bandwidth, latency, and failover as first-class product constraints.
- AI model orchestration. Partner with AI/ML on the model pipeline. Define how detection models are prioritized, how environmental and temporal context shapes inference, and how orchestration policies are tuned per vertical and deployment site.
- Compliance integration. Ensure FERPA, SOC 2, NIST, and state senior-care regulations are roadmap inputs, not afterthoughts. Own privacy, retention, and audit traceability at the product level.
- Industry positioning. Maintain a defensible view on where security + AI is heading and how we should position against competitors. Brief leadership quarterly.
- Customer and field discovery. You understand the importance of customer research. From time to time, you’ll prioritize meetings with security directors, clinical staff, and operators. You’ll be in buildings, walking in camera networks, debriefing incidents, and translating that into product decisions.
- Team building. Build and lead a new Technical Product function
Required background:
- 0-to-1 product experience. You’ve built a product function or roadmap from scratch, not an inherited one. You know the difference between a process that scales and a process that slows the team down at this stage.
- Commercial instincts. You’ve contributed to pricing, packaging, or GTM positioning decisions, not just handing a roadmap to sales. In a company, this size, product, and commercial strategy are the same conversation.
- 8+ years in technical product management, including 4+ years at the Senior Manager, Head, or Director level leading multi-product roadmaps across network architecture, video hardware, and edge-based systems
- Deep networking expertise. You can design a PoE-switched IP camera network, reason about video streaming and IoT protocols (RTSP, ONVIF, MQTT, WebSocket, gRPC), and make informed calls on bandwidth planning, latency, and failover. You’ve shipped networked hardware products, not just managed software that runs on them.
- Edge compute hardware experience. You’ve evaluated edge AI silicon, managed firmware integration, and deployed compute devices in the field. You understand power, thermal, and form-factor trade-offs and have made chipset selection decisions under real cost pressure.
- Physical security or video surveillance industry experience. You’ve worked in or adjacent to VMS, access control, intrusion detection, or comparable life-safety systems. You understand how security operators use these tools day-to-day.
- AI/ML product experience with computer vision. You’ve shipped CV products in production: object detection, facial recognition, pose estimation, or behavior analysis. You understand model lifecycle (training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, retraining) as a product discipline.
- Regulated / life-safety environments. You’ve shipped into or deeply understand environments with real compliance stakes: healthcare,
senior care, K-12, public safety, or equivalent. You treat compliance as a design input, not a checkbox. - Strong industry POV. You have a defensible, well-informed perspective on where security + AI is heading and can translate that into roadmap priorities.
Strongly Preferred:
- Senior living, healthcare, or K-12 deployment experience. Either vertical is a significant plus; both are exceptional.
- Edge AI silicon vendor evaluation experience (e.g., Hailo, Ambarella, NVIDIA Jetson, or comparable) and the trade-offs across architectures.
- Multi-model orchestration. Experience with model serving frameworks, priority-based inference scheduling, or context-aware detection pipelines.
- Sensor fusion. Thermal + optical, or vision + audio fusion in production deployments.
- Startup experience (Series A–C). Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats.
- Team building. You’ve built and led a small product team from scratch.
- Hands-on engineering background (network, hardware, or ML) before moving into product.
- Published work, conference talks, or patents in security, computer vision, or edge AI.
Compensation & Logistics:
- Compensation: $155,000 – $180,000, commensurate with experience. Based on local TN market.
- Stocks: Meaningful stock grant commensurate with seniority.
- Hybrid flexibility: This role is based in Nashville, TN. We offer a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
- Benefits: Standard healthcare benefits package with generous vacation and sick leave.
- Travel: 40% for customer deployments, vendor evaluations, and team collaboration.

About SafeSpace Global
Excited about building an AI platform that stops a grandmother with dementia from wandering into traffic, catches a weapon before it reaches a classroom, and brings our children home safe?
SafeSpace Global builds AI-powered physical safety and security systems for the environments that protect the most vulnerable; senior living communities, schools, and beyond. Our platform combines edge computing, computer vision, and cloud orchestration to deliver real-time detection, response, and accountability across the full safety lifecycle. We operate where the stakes are highest: a missed event has real human consequences. We operate under FERPA, HIPAA-adjacent, SOC 2, and NIST requirements where a missed event has real human consequences.
We are an early-stage company operating in a mature industry we’re actively disrupting. The product function is growing. The person in this role will be critical to defining our long-term product vision.
